Uploaded file name getting changed

When I try to upload new versions of Group Calendar or Outfitter the site changes the file names. It seems to have problems figuring out the extension when the name is GroupCalendar_4.0b4.zip -- perhaps it sees the first period and tries to make that the extension and drops the .zip entirely, resulting in a broken download.

This behavior is new over the past few days, is it a known issue?

I realize the workaround is probably to rename my uploads, but I'd like to know if or when this issue will be resolved.

A similar problem exists for screenshots. I'm able to upload them, but the preview and download is not working. The file name is apparently replaced by the description.

Will this be fixed on already completed uploads that does not work, like my new tool Wow Log Parser. The downloads just gives a file not found error.
