Client Installation Error - Entry Point not Found

I am trying to help a friend of mine out by installing the Curse client on his PC. It works great on mine. When I was installing the client today I received the following error and CurseClient doens't seem to work.

CurseClient.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The Procedure entry point GetProcessId could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

Does any one have any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this?

Getting the same error here as well. I read in another thread that you have to be using Windows XP Service Pack 1 or higher. I'm using Windows 2000 SP4. Is this OS too old, or is there anything I can do to fix it?
