Error: Connection failed

i keep getting this message from a speech bubble over the "curse" icon

i cannot download any programs, have tried restarting etc, tried deleting some addons but all that did was leave me with one less addon :-S

any help please

I can't login either, and I have no proxy or firewall that would block the connection, unless it requires an inbound port to be opened on my router - is this the case?

Edit: I just get "login failed" with no useful information as to what the cause may be.

Same Problem here, i have an excpetion for the client.

yea firewall isnt even switched on,
i read something about some patch but cannot seem to find it
and can't seem to find out how to uninstal and reinstall it either, but would that work, or would i just lose everything then?

i get Error 000000
for everything I try to update. grrr

ok so i figured it out! just go to the main page and redownload the client. no need to do anything else. just redownload. it works for me.

Yeah that could be it. I just noticed that wowdb.com is linking to an ancient version 0.13.1 (WHOOPS), which is where I got it from. The version I dug up on curse.com is 0.16.0, so I'm going to try that now.

Edit: Yep, that fixed the problem.

i tried redownloading and it worked *YAY*, if it doesnt work first time try exiting the client from the tray and opening it again
