Installing specific version with Curse client

This is intended functionality. The Client installs the "Default" file. The two you're attempting to download are both beta versions of the AddOn in question, which are never set to default unless the author specifies that they want it to be the default file themselves. It's set up this way to protect users from downloading what could be a buggy beta file. :)
That said, it's not a bad idea to introduce the ability to install any version of an AddOn with the client, if you so choose.

Thanks for the reply. Best thing to do would be to install that addon manually then, I guess. Looking forward to seeing the new functionality you described though. Threw me off for a while, until I realized the website was lieing to the client about what to download ;)

Cipritrying to install a specific version of "Cartographer Complete" using the curse client, but every time I do this I get the same version installed. This is because the download link always is psyn://services.curse.com/client/install.xml?id=9496
This same link is found on both
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/9496/download/46787/ and
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/9496/download/46786/
While both the same addon, they're different release versions. Is there a way (Customizing the psyn:// URL for example) to download and automatically install specific release? Or is there a way to download it manually and install the zip file using the curse client?
