Choose a mirror automatically

Is it just me, or is it slightly oxymoronic to have a button called "Choose a mirror automatically" which must be manually clicked in order to download an AddOn ? ;p

(Especially when only 1 server is given as an "option")

Maybe a check box in the profile to always automatically select a mirror ?

Or at least, just download automatically when only 1 mirror is available anyway ?

Is this really a feature that adds benefit to the end user ? Honestly, I would have thought the algorithm being used by the site based on either network traffic or geographical location would be difficult to improve, so why have a choice visible to the user at all ? (Unless of course, the algorithm is just "choose the first mirror listed...")

Just some thoughts because I actually find the choice of server to be an irritation more than a help.

I second the request for a true one-click download option...

Sorry, don't mean to bump this thread, but I am genuinely interested in what the feedback might be on this issue ?

I realise that a lot of work has gone in to offering the choice of Servers for download, and I even acknowledge that this could be a very useful feature to continue to offer people - for example, where there is some kind of problem downloading from a default / automatic server choice, it could be vital to still have an option to Manually choose another download Server (Providing it was clear which Server was being used as the Automatic one in order to avoid manually choosing it again)

However, I still think a Profile option for Automatically choosing a download server would be very popular. And I would say this should default to "On" i.e. yes, automatically choose a Server. Then, there could be specific buttons on the AddOn page for choosing a download server manually if desired.
